It's not clear that all users will have access to DSI....indeed at this point Allied does not want their member hospitals to have DSI.

In an introductory session today with the Supply Chain leader at an Allied member hospital (without DSI), we were asked how to access all the SKU's they purchase in a certain category, across manufacturers, based on AutoPricer results.

I had shown him the ability to get a comprehensive SKU list with comparative Min/Avg/Max intel for a Manufacturer using Category Bundling. He asked how he can get this same intel for a category he intends to strategically analyze. I mentioned that today we don't have the ability to do this in AutoPricer but have discussed including it in the future....that for today he has to download each price list into a table.

Incidentally, he immediately grasped the importance of market share and spend leverage.....but wants access to all SKU's as he preps for a strategic review of a category....with basic intel to know where he might have SKUs way out of line.

Other clients, including Cooper, have asked me if we will be providing something similar to Category Bundling of manufacturers across a category in a scatterplot form, with a comprehensive list of all SKUs with basic Min/Avg/Max intel. It's essentially asking for a quote for a category. DSI could conceivably give us the list of SKUs and historical volume/spend.....but would have no comparative intel.

What are our plans currently for a user to have access to all SKU's used in a category....with basic intel?
