Subject: Unknown Pharmacy Spend in Global Spend Summary = 28%

The Global Spend Summary is powerful.

In prepping for the Pharma meeting with Carilion, I noticed that 15% of their Rx spend in Spend Summary is Unknown.

This prompted me to look into the Global tool...where I found 28% of the total Pharmacy Class spend is Unknown. That's huge.

This makes me think we should default the data type to exclude Unknown in Spend Summary for clients....thus allowing them to turn off the filter if researching Unknown.

NYU and CHOC are the largest factors....followed by Jackson and Atlantic. It seems the reasons for this include:

* Rebates
* Periodic payments to the wholesaler
* Mysterious transactions

See below for the clients with the greatest Unknown Rx $, then a sample shot of the top transactions .....first charges, then credits.
