Subject: Queries to find Pharmacy exceptions
Importance: High
In the WVU meeting last week it became evident 340b coded transactions for a certain drug were higher than the prices paid by the client as GPO.
We all agreed this was unusual and really shouldn't happen...though not necessarily an error in the data file.
In the interest of continuing to find variation in a client's Pharmacy data it would be good to have a different twist on Parity.....where a 340 price paid in recent months is higher than a WAC or GPO price paid.
In the case of WVU it could lead to $75K if they simply keep the NDCs from hitting the splitter.....I think they call it black boxing to predetermine the pricing source to be used for a transactions....in this case the GPO.
Can we do this?
All the best,
